How Berkeley students utilized Claymore lights to make the most out of their Tahoe getaway.
New Year, Halloween, Christmas — what do these popular holidays have in common? Delicious meals, warm company, colorful decorations... and, of course, good lighting.
Well-chosen lighting makes or breaks the holiday ambience. What’s New Year’s without brightly lit signs along bustling streets and colorful fireworks against the night sky? Multicolored lights hugging evergreen trees? — Christmas!
So, how did Berkeley students use lighting to boost the festive atmosphere during their Thanksgiving break, the long-awaited vacation to recover from midterms?
One of Berkeley's consulting clubs, IDEA Factory, went on a retreat to Lake Tahoe. Sitting atop the massive load thrown into their 15-person van were Claymore products: namely, the Cadena 7 and Athena S.
While, of course, outdoor activities are a must when visiting somewhere as beautiful as Lake Tahoe, physically demanding activities can’t be enjoyed fully without proper rest, like cozying up in front of a warm fireplace. This is where Claymore lights came in.
After trekking up the slippery mountain trails, members immersed their tired bodies in the hot tub outside their lodge, allowing their exhaustion to melt away. The Cadena lights decorated around the pergola of the hot tub enhanced the atmosphere, making the experience even more soothing.
For the highlight of Thanksgiving, club members gathered in the kitchen to prepare dinner. The once-empty table was quickly filled with delectable, traditional dishes. At the center of it stood the Athena S. Its cozy orange glow matched the warmth of laughter and small talk, creating the perfect mood for the celebration.
Later, under the gentle orange of Claymore lights, the members decorated gingerbread houses. The lights made the houses look sweeter, crunchier, and simply perfect.
With Claymore products, Thanksgiving felt even more special. Never underestimate the importance of great lighting!
